Games GDD

Image
Games GDD I have thought about ideas for my games and I ended up deciding on making a zombie apocalypse game. I have a few ideas on what the game will look like, I will have to work on the map design as I think that's one of the most important things in a video game, and I was looking at these 3 examples of zombie apocalypse games, also left 4 dead 2 being a game I really really enjoyed playing, I do not think I can make anything as good as left 4 dead 2 at the moment, and especially not alone, but I do have my own ideas on what the game design will be, it's goals and the gameplay. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left_4_Dead https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Left_4_Dead_2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doom_II

Unity Tutorial 03

Unity Tutorial 03 I started doing week 4's tutorial thinking "what could go wrong? .. I only have to follow the steps" and hey... nothing went wrong... until.... well... until I got the the C# part of the tutorial... I can say that it made me realize the importance of learning a new coding language from the basics like we did in first year with web dev. I got stuck really hard in the C# coding thought, I am not completely sure which are the tags, and which are the parts of the codes that go inside the tags, being used to CSS the C# looked to me a bit alike, as in the codes had a tag then {} and inside the code that is supposed to make the game / project work the way you want it to work. Apparently the designing part of Unity is not hard to do so for my future game, I will be able to actually do pieces of my map, import them and place them around where I want them to be, but I will also be looking in more detail at tutorials about how C# works so I can get

Game Brainstorm

I was looking through some older games, 2D and 3D games, something that might inspire me when making my own game so I went through the following list: Captain Claw: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Claw_(video_game) Re-Volt: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Re-Volt Hearthstone: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hearthstone And Last Overwatch: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overwatch_(video_game) As I am still unsure about the genre of the game, or what you'll have to do, so I'll will keep looking through games until I have an idea of what my game will be.

Unity Tutorial 01

Image
Unity Tutorials I've been doing all 3 Unity Tutorials but I believe something went wrong when I installed my program as I was missing files he said the program should've had installed automatically. Also, while using the files downloaded from the person who made the video, I encountered a problem with my trees as they had no colors  for some reason.. and yes, I have imported all the files he had in the folders. I enjoyed the way I could create my map, I am happy I learned the basic of map creation in Unity as it is a fun tool to play around with. I hope I will get to a stage where I'll learn how to use the program good enough to make my games inside different places like, a house for a horror game or something along the line. 2D games ideas are interesting as well, giving as example the game "Spelunky". In this picture you can see my unity and the colorless trees I have in my game, cause as I said, I don't know why my trees have no color... In
